Von Creamshire is based in Frydrychowice, Poland, where we run our breeding programme specialising exclusively in long-haired Cream Dachshunds.
Our location in Poland is only part of our story, however. We have a strong personal connection to England, having lived there for many years, and our breeding dogs come from England and established English families and breeding lines.
Our breeding dogs come from England and from established English families and breeding lines.
We have lived in England for many years, giving us a personal connection to the country and its Dachshund breeding tradition.
Our dogs have documentation including certificates and pedigrees associated with the Royal Kennel Club, World Kennel Club and Cezarblue Kennel.
Today, Von Creamshire is based in Poland, but our breeding programme remains closely connected to the English dogs, families and lines from which our dogs originate.
Yes.
Our breeding dogs were brought from England, and their English ancestry is an important part of our breeding programme.
We also lived in England for many years, so our connection with English Cream Dachshunds is not simply based on choosing an attractive name for a colour. We developed our appreciation for these dogs and their history through our connection with England itself.
For us, English Cream should represent genuine English heritage and documented ancestry, rather than simply being used to describe any cream-coloured Dachshund.
Yes.
Our breeding dogs come from English families and breeding lines with documented ancestry. Their English origin and pedigrees are an important part of our programme.
We deliberately distinguish this from simply breeding cream-coloured Dachshunds in continental Europe and marketing them as βEnglish Creamβ.
For us, the word English should have a genuine meaning.
Our breeding dogs have documentation and certificates associated with English organisations and registries including the Royal Kennel Club, World Kennel Club and Cezarblue Kennel.
We can provide further information about the individual documentation and pedigrees of our breeding dogs.
Our breeding dogs have pedigrees, certificates and documentation relating to their ancestry and registration.
This includes documentation associated with the Royal Kennel Club, World Kennel Club and Cezarblue Kennel.
We believe documented ancestry is particularly important with English Cream Dachshunds because the term βEnglish Creamβ is sometimes used simply as a description of coat colour.
Yes.
Von Creamshire is registered with the Polska Federacja Kynologiczna (PFK).
When establishing our kennel in Poland, we considered the available kynological organisations and chose PFK because we felt it was the most suitable option for our breeding programme.
The ZKwP system follows the FCI breed standards, under which Cream is not currently recognised as an accepted Dachshund colour. From our perspective, this is a traditional approach that does not reflect the long-standing history and popularity of Cream Dachshunds, particularly in England.
We believe that the fact that a particular colour is not included in the FCI standard should not mean that people cannot responsibly breed, own and enjoy these wonderful dogs.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of living with an English Cream Dachshund.
That is one of the reasons we chose a different kynological organisation for Von Creamshire β while continuing to place the emphasis on responsible breeding, health, temperament and the welfare of our dogs.
Yes.
Von Creamshire specialises exclusively in long-haired Cream Dachshunds.
Our entire breeding programme is focused on this particular combination of coat type, colour and the English breeding heritage associated with it.
However, colour is never considered on its own. We believe that responsible breeding must always take the overall health, temperament, structure, ancestry and welfare of the dogs into consideration.
Our focus is not simply on producing a particular colour.
Our breeding dogs come from England and established English families and breeding lines, and our personal connection with England goes back many years.
We specialise exclusively in long-haired Cream Dachshunds, while placing importance on documented ancestry, responsible breeding and the overall quality and welfare of our dogs.
For us, English Cream should represent more than simply a pale coat colour.
Our connection with England is both personal and part of the history of the dogs we breed.
We lived in England for many years and developed a strong appreciation for the English Cream Dachshund and its British breeding tradition.
Cream Dachshunds have a particularly strong historical association with British Dachshund breeding, where Cream is recognised by the Royal Kennel Club.
Using English breeding lines allows us to maintain a genuine connection with that history rather than simply reproducing the appearance of an English Cream Dachshund.
We do not choose breeding dogs based on colour alone.
Our decisions take into consideration factors such as health, temperament, structure, pedigree, family history and genetics.
The Cream colour is an important part of our specialised breeding programme, but it should never be more important than the overall quality and welfare of the dog.
Our breeding dogs undergo veterinary health checks and DNA testing.
We consider health to be an essential part of responsible breeding and use the information available to us to make informed breeding decisions.
We will provide more information about the specific health and genetic testing carried out on our dogs as part of our commitment to transparency.
Yes.
Our dogs have undergone DNA testing, alongside veterinary health checks.
We use the information available from these tests as part of our breeding decisions and continue to consider which genetic and veterinary screening is appropriate for our dogs and their particular breeding lines.
Yes. All of our Dachshunds live in our home with us β we do not keep our dogs in kennel buildings.
They are part of our everyday family life and have regular contact with a variety of people and animals. Our dogs live around children, cats, ducks and chickens, giving them exposure to different sights, sounds and situations from an early age.
We believe this everyday home environment is an important part of raising confident, well-adjusted Dachshunds.
Our dogs are not simply breeding animals β they are members of our family first.
Our philosophy is simple: we want more people to have the opportunity to experience the wonderful character of an English Cream Dachshund.
We fell in love with these dogs and their unique combination of appearance, personality and charm, and our goal is to share that experience with families who will appreciate them as much as we do.
At the same time, we believe that producing beautiful Cream Dachshunds comes with a responsibility. Our focus is therefore not only on colour, but also on health, temperament, quality, ancestry and responsible breeding.
Most importantly, we want our puppies to become cherished family members and to bring their families the same joy that our Dachshunds bring us.
Absolutely.
We are happy to welcome prospective families to Von Creamshire in Frydrychowice by appointment.
We believe that choosing a puppy should be a personal decision, and meeting the dogs, seeing how they are raised and talking with us in person can be an important part of that process.
A visit also gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and make sure that a Von Creamshire puppy is the right choice for your family.
Yes.
We are happy to consider families from outside Poland and have experience discussing puppy placements with families from other countries.
The most important thing for us is finding the right home for each puppy, regardless of where that home is located.
Yes.
We can help families understand and organise the requirements involved in bringing a puppy to another country and can assist with arranging international transport, depending on the destination and applicable regulations.
We discuss the requirements with each family individually to make sure that the puppy's journey is properly planned and as safe and comfortable as possible.
Yes.
Our relationship with a family does not end when the puppy leaves Von Creamshire.
We remain available to our puppy families and are happy to provide guidance and support as the puppy grows, whether that concerns everyday care, nutrition, training, development or simply a question that comes up along the way.
We genuinely enjoy staying in touch with the families who welcome our puppies into their lives
.
We are quite selective about where our puppies go.
For us, breeding responsibly does not end with producing healthy and well-socialised puppies. We also have a responsibility to make sure that each puppy is placed in a home where its individual needs can be understood and met.
We therefore take the time to get to know prospective families, ask questions about their lifestyle and expectations, and discuss what living with a Dachshund is really like.
We do not believe that every puppy is right for every family β and we don't believe that every family is right for every puppy.
Our goal is to find the right match, rather than simply find a buyer.
A puppy is a member of someone's family for many years. We would much rather take our time finding the right home than place a puppy somewhere simply because someone is ready to buy one.
We choose our families as carefully as we choose our breeding dogs.
